The World's Toughest Row

On 12th December four friends from the East of England are taking on The World's Toughest Row.; Rowing 3,000 miles across the Atlantic, from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean. No engine. No support boat. Just four blokes, a set of oars, and a carbon-fibre boat called Stephen.

For around 40 days they will live in a two-hours-on, two-hours-off rowing cycle, battling sleep deprivation, big seas, salt sores and the occasional curious marlin.

They are are doing this to support three incredible charities: The Giving Tree, East Anglian Air Ambulance, and James’s Place.

Cambridge Half Marathon

On Sunday 9th March, 10 volunteers from The Giving Tree took to the streets of Cambridge in order to raise money for 'Something To Look Forward To'. A wonderful charity who promote the well-being, relieve the stress and aid the recuperation of those who are experiencing the effects of cancer and its treatment.

Collectively we raised over £14,000 which will help the charity give more gifts and experiences to those effected by cancer poverty.

Our annual cycle challenge returned in April and this time team took on a challenging 520km route around the East of England, visiting 10 food hubs along the way. The initiative raised over £27k to support these much needed food facilities in Norfolk, Essex, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire communities. A big thank you to everyone that supported.

Pier to Pier Norfolk

The Giving Tree was proud to join forces with East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) for the 2025 Norfolk Pier to Pier Walk — an inspiring 32-mile trek along the North Norfolk Coastal Path, from Cromer Pier to Yarmouth Pier. It was a physically demanding day and thanks to the determination and generosity of the participants, the event raised over £40,000 for EACH’s vital work.
